Yumbo, Valle del Cauca was the setting for one of the most anticipated athletic events of the year: the 10K Athletic Race, which brought together nearly 2,700 athletes full of energy and passion for running. The María Cano University Foundation was present as a key ally in the physical recovery of the participants.

Thanks to the involvement of professors and 15 final-semester students from the Physiotherapy program, post-competition support was provided for this sporting event. Participants received sessions of muscle stretching and sports massages, which facilitated their recovery after the effort of the competition. A total of 260 runners accessed these sessions. This initiative is part of María Cano’s commitment to the well-being of the community and the promotion of support for sports.

This event not only aided in the recovery of participants, but also served as an excellent opportunity to highlight the presence and impact of María Cano in the sports field and participation in various communities. The dedication and teamwork of our faculty and students strengthen our projection in the region.
