María Cano at the Bambuquera Half Marathon
- 26 noviembre, 2024

The Fundación Universitaria María Cano, Neiva campus, stood out for its active participation in the Bambuquera Half Marathon, a major sports event in the region. On this occasion, students from the Physiotherapy program, accompanied by their professors, provided support to the participants through muscle release sessions. This service was key in helping athletes relieve tensions and physical discomfort caused by the effort during the competition.
The activity not only represented a practical learning opportunity for future physiotherapists, who were able to apply their knowledge in a real-world setting, but it also highlighted the importance of comprehensive physical care in high-performance events. For the athletes, having access to these services was essential for their recovery and well-being, enhancing the quality of the event and its positive impact on the participants.
Furthermore, this initiative reaffirms the commitment of Fundación Universitaria María Cano, Neiva campus, to human and social development, as well as to promoting healthy activities within the community. Its ongoing presence in cultural, sports, and humanitarian events strengthens its role as an educational institution dedicated to the holistic training of its students and to collective well-being.
Participation in the Bambuquera Half Marathon thus becomes an enriching experience for both students and athletes, strengthening the ties between academia and society. #MásMaríaCano
