In a ceremony held on November 26, 2024, the Susana López Hospital in Popayán awarded the institution the “United to Serve” recognition. This award highlights the collaboration between both institutions to carry out actions that benefit the community in the city and the department of Cauca, focusing on projects that have a positive impact on health, education, and social development. The María Cano University Foundation has played a key role in promoting initiatives that foster the well-being of communities, working together with the hospital on training programs, public health campaigns, and social impact activities.
These actions have addressed the priority needs of the population, ranging from health promotion and prevention days to training in responsible practices that strengthen family and community environments. Representatives from both institutions took the opportunity to reaffirm their commitment to continue working in partnership, strengthening the ties that allow for the development of comprehensive strategies in favor of the people. Such recognitions motivate continued efforts to positively impact the region and build a more equitable and sustainable future. With this recognition, María Cano reaffirms its role as an institution committed to regional development, combining academic leadership with social responsibility, demonstrating that education and interinstitutional collaboration are essential pillars for collective progress. #MoreMaríaCano
