The Fundación Universitaria María Cano, Cali campus, carried out an outstanding academic mobility program in collaboration with the Universidad Mariana of Pasto-Nariño (UNIMARIANA), providing Physiotherapy students with an intensive educational experience that significantly enriched their professional development.

This strategic alliance between institutions offered future physiotherapists the opportunity to participate in a high-level academic program, where they explored specialized areas such as cardiopulmonary intervention, neuromuscular approaches, and advanced foundations of biomechanics and functional anatomy, guided by expert faculty from both universities.

The program incorporated innovative methodologies that included:

• Hands-on workshops in state-of-the-art laboratories

• Clinical assessments with simulated patients

• Analysis of complex clinical cases

• Immersion in emerging virtual reality technologies applied to rehabilitation

As a fundamental part of the comprehensive approach, students carried out a community intervention in the Juanoy neighborhood, applying their knowledge in a real social context and strengthening their commitment to the well-being of vulnerable populations.
