María Cano and MinTIC promote Digital Talent in Medellín with new bootcamps
- 25 junio, 2025

The María Cano University Foundation, in partnership with the Ministry of Information and Communication Technologies (MinTIC), the University of Antioquia, and the University of Caldas, has launched intensive Talento Tech courses at its Medellín campus. These programs specialize in Data Analysis and Artificial Intelligence to train the country’s new generation of digital talent.
Talento Tech is an intensive training program based on the bootcamp methodology, designed to train adult Colombians with a special emphasis on female participation, rural populations, and diverse socioeconomic backgrounds. The goal is to develop advanced digital skills, soft skills, English proficiency, and the ability to take tech projects to the job market.
Participants must meet basic requirements such as being over 18 years old, having internet access and a technological device, and having passed a digital skills test. The training lasts 159 hours, delivered over six weeks, from June 24 to August 1.
This program aligns with the institutional philosophy of the María Cano University Foundation, which promotes comprehensive education, social commitment, and inclusion as key pillars for contributing to the country’s technological and social development.
The María Cano University Foundation warmly welcomes the bootcamp participants and students embarking on this Talento Tech learning journey. Furthermore, the institution is working on expanding this initiative to the city of Cali, aiming to benefit the Valle del Cauca community and continue fostering the development of digital talent throughout the country.
