Tests that Connect: Understanding the Heart and Mind of Our Students
- 11 agosto, 2025

As part of the academic support strategies, Fundación Universitaria María Cano, Neiva campus, administered a diagnostic test to new students in the two academic programs. This assessment was a key tool to identify their strengths, allowing the design of support actions aimed at enhancing learning from the very beginning of their university life. Both Institutional Wellbeing and academic programs provided follow-up and support, ensuring a comprehensive and relevant education from the first day of classes.
The application of these psychometric tests not only aims to evaluate the students’ cognitive abilities but also to understand their emotional and developmental needs. This holistic approach allows the institution to offer personalized support that addresses not only academic challenges but also personal situations that may affect their performance and wellbeing.
Additionally, the use of diagnostic tools like these strengthens the bond between students and the institution, enabling teachers and the wellbeing team to create action plans more tailored to each student’s characteristics and needs. This process of personalizing academic and emotional support is crucial to ensuring success throughout their university journey.
In this way, Fundación Universitaria María Cano reaffirms its commitment to training future professionals, providing a space where students are not only academically evaluated but also supported in their personal and professional growth, bringing them closer to their goals and an enriching university experience.
