Thanks to the institutional agreement between Fundación Universitaria María Cano and Deportivo Cali, students from the Cali campus had the opportunity to immerse themselves in an enriching experience that directly connects their academic training with the professional world of sports.

Accompanied by Professor Juan Carlos Pino, physiotherapist for the professional team and university instructor, the future professionals gained firsthand insight into the fundamental role physiotherapy plays in high-performance sports. During the day, students toured the locker rooms and stadium facilities, including the press room, while receiving detailed explanations about the practices and techniques applied in the prevention, treatment, and recovery of injuries in elite athletes.

Professor Pino shared with the students the importance of multidisciplinary work in professional sports, where physiotherapy not only focuses on rehabilitation but also on continuous monitoring of physical conditions, the application of specialized therapies, and support in physical preparation to optimize performance and extend the athletic careers of players.

This experience allowed students to understand the real impact physiotherapy has on the health and performance of athletes, as well as the challenges professionals face working under pressure in a dynamic and demanding environment.
