Strengthening the Future: Motor Development Assessment for Children
- 22 septiembre, 2025

Fundación Universitaria María Cano, Neiva campus, reaffirms its commitment to higher education and community well-being through various academic and social activities. In a recent event, the institution’s students participated in an assessment of motor development in children aged 2 to 5, a key topic for the overall development of young children.
Under the guidance of Neuromuscular professor Lizeth Trochez Bonilla, students conducted playful assessments that allowed for direct observation of the children’s physical, cognitive, and motor development. This hands-on, participatory approach not only provided valuable insights into the children’s motor skills but also offered an opportunity to reflect on the significance of such evaluations in the early stages of child development.
The event, which took place in a natural and friendly environment, highlighted the importance of these types of studies in the professional training of students, who were able to apply their knowledge and enhance their skills in analysis, observation, and teamwork with young children.
Additionally, this initiative underscores Fundación Universitaria María Cano’s strong commitment to social outreach, offering opportunities for students to actively engage in projects that benefit the community. The institution continues to work toward the happy and healthy development of children, solidifying its role as a leader in training professionals dedicated to society.
