- 16 diciembre, 2025
At the Medellín campus of the María Cano University Foundation, the certification ceremony was held for the Education for Work and Human Development (ETDH) programs Labor Technician Assistant in Digital Marketing and Labor Technician Assistant in Data Management Analysis, an initiative developed in coordination with Sapiencia, an entity affiliated with the Medellín Mayor’s Office.

These programs are part of the district administration’s strategic commitment to strengthening citizens’ skills in key, high-demand areas, aligned with the accelerated changes in the labor market and the challenges of the fifth industrial revolution, characterized by the integration of technology, data, automation, and analytical thinking.
Relevant Training for Present and Future Challenges
The Labor Technician Assistant in Digital Marketing program responds to the growing need of organizations to position brands, products, and services in digital environments. Training in content strategies, social media management, digital advertising, and metrics analysis enables students to understand consumer behavior in virtual settings and to contribute to results-based business decision-making. This relevance translates into greater employability and entrepreneurship opportunities in a context where digital transformation is a cross-cutting priority across all economic sectors.

Meanwhile, the Labor Technician Assistant in Data Management Analysis program has become a direct response to the demand for talent with competencies to collect, organize, and interpret information. In an environment where data has become a strategic asset, this program strengthens analytical skills that support planning, monitoring, and continuous improvement processes in companies and institutions. Its practical approach prepares participants to contribute effectively to knowledge management and informed decision-making.
Social Impact and Career Projection
In total, more than 120 individuals received their certification, gaining access to training that not only enhances their technical skills but also broadens their outlook on new learning pathways and professional growth. This initiative reaffirms the commitment of María Cano and the Medellín Mayor’s Office to inclusive, relevant, and work-oriented education that recognizes technical training as a driver of social mobility and territorial development.
Through partnerships like this, the Institution continues to contribute to the consolidation of a city that invests in its human talent and understands education as a fundamental tool for responding to the constant changes of the productive and social environment.
