Management Review Strengthens Institutional Quality Management
- 9 abril, 2026
As part of its commitment to strengthening the Internal Quality Assurance System, Fundación Universitaria María Cano carried out its Management Review session, a strategic space led by the Rector, Hugo Alberto Valencia Porras, and the Planning and Quality Office. This session enabled a comprehensive analysis of the progress and results achieved across all institutional areas and processes, consolidating itself as a key scenario for decision-making aimed at continuous improvement.
The session included the participation of the Medellín, Cali, Neiva, and Popayán campuses, as well as the Mariacanovirtual campus, demonstrating the institution’s multicampus commitment to quality and the alignment of its processes across all territories. During the meeting, María Cano reaffirmed its commitment to its Internal Quality Assurance System, understood as a cross-cutting strategy that guides its actions toward academic, administrative, and social excellence.
Based on this work, the results of internal and external audits were analyzed, enabling the establishment of action plans and lines of work that will guide institutional management in the coming periods, thereby strengthening a culture of continuous improvement. Through initiatives like this, Fundación Universitaria María Cano consolidates its strategic approach to quality, promoting more efficient, coordinated processes aligned with institutional goals and generating a positive impact on the community.
This exercise also provided Senior Management with a comprehensive review of the management system, aimed at evaluating its ongoing suitability, adequacy, effectiveness, efficiency, and performance, based on the analysis of results, findings, improvement opportunities, risks, and the institutional context.
