The Innovation and Entrepreneurship Unit of Fundación Universitaria María Cano Medellín held a discussion forum alongside FISINOVA, an organization that has established itself as an example of entrepreneurial vision, collaborative work, and transformation within the healthcare sector. This space highlighted how the combination of knowledge, friendship, and entrepreneurial spirit can become an opportunity to generate social impact, professional growth, and business development.

During the event, the academic community had the opportunity to engage with three of FISINOVA’s founders, graduates of the Physiotherapy program at Fundación Universitaria María Cano, who shared their life experiences, challenges, and the journey they undertook to turn an idea into a solid and recognized company. Their story began as that of a group of classmates who, driven by a common dream and the desire to make a meaningful contribution through their profession, decided to join efforts to create an innovative proposal that addressed real needs within their field.

What began as a project built on friendship, trust, and a shared vision became a reality in 2007 and, over the years, evolved into a consolidated organization that today generates well-being, employment opportunities, and development for more than 180 collaborators, demonstrating the impact entrepreneurship can have when guided by purpose and perseverance.

Beyond sharing their business journey, the discussion forum became a source of inspiration for students, faculty, and attendees, who learned firsthand that entrepreneurship is not only about creating a company, but also about daring to believe in an idea, taking on challenges, innovating, and building solutions that transform lives and contribute to the growth of society.

Through initiatives like this, Fundación Universitaria María Cano continues to strengthen spaces of connection between its alumni and the academic community, promoting entrepreneurship, innovation, and leadership as fundamental pillars in the training of well-rounded professionals.
