- 25 mayo, 2026
The Faculty of Business Sciences is part of the Antioquia Territorial Alliance, an interinstitutional initiative that achieved a perfect score of 100/100 in the 2026 Call for Institutional Strengthening of Quality and Territorial Relevance in Higher Education, led by Colombia’s Ministry of National Education.
The alliance is made up of the Débora Arango Technological Institute of Arts, ESCOLME University Institution, the Adventist University Corporation – UNAC, and María Cano University Foundation. Together, these institutions have combined academic and strategic efforts to promote educational and regional development in the Province of Cartama, Antioquia.

The proposal brings together three strategic areas of the National Qualifications Framework: tourism and gastronomy, agriculture and environment, and digital technology. It also incorporates dual education methodologies aimed at strengthening the connection between education, employment, and territorial development, helping reduce social and productive gaps in the region.
Currently, the participating institutions are advancing in a phase of collaborative work and strategic support with key regional stakeholders to consolidate initiatives that generate academic, social, and productive impact in the Province of Cartama.
The most recent in-person meeting took place on May 20 at the Débora Arango Technological Institute of Arts. Representing the Institution were María Cristina Osorio Soto, Director of the Public Accounting Program, and Professor Iván Darío Gómez Giraldo from the Faculty of Business Sciences.
