Graduates Who Inspire and Transform Academic Education
- 26 mayo, 2026
Fundación Universitaria María Cano, Cali campus, continues strengthening its connection with graduates and recognizing alumni as examples of experience, leadership, and professional transformation. On this occasion, the Physiotherapy program welcomed Margarita Torres, a graduate from the first Physiotherapy class of the Cali campus in 2001, to participate in an academic discussion session with students of the program.
During the meeting, the alumna shared her knowledge and experiences regarding the importance of sensory integration and sensory management in children from a physiotherapy perspective, highlighting the impact of these strategies on child development, learning processes, and overall well-being. In addition, her professional journey allowed students to gain insight into real-world professional experiences and reflect on the challenges and opportunities within the healthcare field.

Beyond the academic component, the session became an opportunity to strengthen institutional belonging and demonstrate how graduates continue contributing to the growth of the university community through their experience and professional commitment.
The active participation of alumni in academic settings reaffirms the importance of maintaining a close and lasting relationship between the Institution and its graduates, promoting networks of knowledge, mentorship, and support that enrich the comprehensive education of future professionals.
Through initiatives like this, Fundación Universitaria María Cano reaffirms its commitment to alumni engagement and participation, recognizing graduates as a fundamental pillar in the construction of academic community, the strengthening of educational processes, and social transformation through knowledge and experience.
