- 25 junio, 2026
As part of the collaborative efforts led by the ASIES Cauca Research Committee, a new working session was held to strengthen the planning and coordination of Science in the Park 2026, an initiative designed to promote the social appropriation of knowledge and foster interest in science, research, and innovation throughout the Department of Cauca.
During the meeting, participants addressed key strategic aspects related to the organization of the event, reviewing progress and defining actions aimed at developing a high-impact program for the academic community, students, and the general public. Representatives from the municipality of Timbío also joined the discussion, contributing to this collective process that brings together stakeholders committed to the scientific and educational development of the region.

As a result of this working session, new commitments were established and future meetings were scheduled to continue strengthening interinstitutional collaboration and joint efforts among the members of the Research Committee. These actions will contribute to ensuring the successful implementation of Science in the Park 2026.
The initiative represents an important opportunity to showcase the research potential of the department, create spaces for interaction between academia, government institutions, and communities, and contribute to the development of a scientific culture that promotes social, educational, and territorial progress.
Through this collaborative work, ASIES Cauca and the higher education institutions that make up its Research Committee reaffirm their commitment to creating opportunities that encourage knowledge generation, the exchange of experiences, and the strengthening of educational and research processes that contribute to the future development of the region and the country.
