A group of 57 rectors of educational institutions of the department of Tolima participated in a seminar called “Fundamentals of Management and Strategy for Rectors” which has held on Friday, July 26th. The program belongs to the Line of Management of Educational Institutions developed by the School of Rectors attached to the Governor’s Office of this department which seeks to train more and more educational leaders in topics that are strategic for their actions and projection to the community.

The School of Rectors is a permanent training space in which Rectors work with a horizontal approach, generating an environment of trust and innovation, focused on the management and performance of the rectors, by dialogue and opportunity to share experiences, frustrations, and desires, to improve the performance and quality of education. Its main purpose is to strengthen the head teachers skills as pedagogical, administrative and community leaders, in accordance with the challenges, demands and responsibilities as the head of educational institutions, based on the learning experiences lived that favor a leadership aware of itself and its value in society.

The training was led by the Vice-Rector of the Social Outreach Department, Carlos Julio Escobar Noreña.
