Cali Campus works for caring and preserving green zones for the community

The Maria Cano was visited by the Administrative Department of Environmental Management, DAGMA Cali, to inspect the accompaniment in the development of agreed activities, after the sponsorship by the Institution of El Gran Limonar Park, located in the south of the capital of Valle del Cauca, in April 2018. The goal of the meeting was to enhance the project with a general benefit which reflects happiness and pride for the community with an urban improvement in the environment.
The coordinator of the Campus, Maria Fernanda Rebellon Aldana, and the Coordinator of the Program for the Adoption of Green Zones in the city, Harrison Ceron Davalos, reviewed the achieved actions, the issue about landscaping, cleanliness, exterior care, pruning, and preservation which are strategies for the protection of this space that has become in a green lung for Cali, and a space for amusement and healthy recreation for the community.
DAGMA and its Environmental Improvement and Conservation Area manage more than 14 million of square meters which includes parks, open areas, and green zones. Every year, more than 2 million visitors take advantage of several ways of recreation offered by Cali’s parks including trails, jogging tracks, sports equipment, and playgrounds.
The sponsorship of green zones is committed to improve the urban landscape in Santiago de Cali.
