Teachers certified as Trainers in Innovation, Entrepreneurship and Business Models

Thirteen teachers from the Maria Cano, in Medellín campus, have been certified with the Innovation, Entrepreneurship and Business Models Training of Trainers Diploma. Its objective was to promote skills development for the academic training of Maria Cano’s teacher trainers towards teaching-learning processes, based on concepts of innovation and entrepreneurship, thus allowing the transfer, multiplication and application of the knowledge acquired during training with the academic community in general.
The diploma was carried out under the Blended Learning methodology, a mixed modality that combines face-to-face and virtuality as strategies for educational reengineering, re-definition of knowledge and learning with convergence in digital devices and scenarios, achieving the transcendence from conventional environments. The Diploma was developed through 6 modules: Awareness of being (8 hours), Innovation (36 hours), Entrepreneurship (16 hours), María Cano Innovation Model (8 hours), Agile methodologies for innovation and entrepreneurship (16 hours) and Social projects formulation (16 hours).
The proposal was led from the Academic Vice Rectory through the School of Business Sciences, under the execution and dynamization of the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Unit of the institution. Therefore, fulfilling one of the academic quality strategic initiatives with the aim of granting compliance to what it is stipulated in our University vision: «to train entrepreneurial and innovative professionals».
