With the firm purpose of guaranteeing quality in all its action fields the Popayán branch carried out the inauguration of the Basic Sciences Laboratory which will complement from now on the María Cano students’ training activities in the capital of Cauca. The act of delivery to the university community was carried out by Principal Hugo Alberto Valencia Porras and branch coordinator Angelica María Zuluaga Calle. They both manifested the institutional commitment regarding generation of spaces guaranteeing different and striking formative experiences to make María Cano’s professionals increasingly competent individuals.

This important laboratory will allow students to experiment and energize knowledge while ensuring a strict quality framed pre-practice development in the subjects of physics, biochemistry and morphophysiology. It is important to remember that this branch already received the initial conditions for the Accreditation process by the National Accreditation Council – CNA – and this space will be one of the many commitments generated in the framework of the improvement by the Accreditation of the Physiotherapy program in the southwestern region of Colombia.
