10 octubre, 2019
Aburra Valley’s Metropolitan Area held the “Regional Noise Forum: Advances and Challenges” which aimed to “Disseminate the results of the update of noise maps in the Aburra Valley. Development of an action plan for noise reduction in a participative space in which significant experiences are shared, allowing the understanding and appropriation of noise as an environmental pollutant”. This space aims at publicizing the research, progress, results and challenges posed by the academy in the face of noise issues as an environmental pollutant.
In this event, professors of the Phonoaudiology program, Liliana Álvarez and Gislena Ortiz, participated presenting the research: «Comparison of the level of attenuation of moldable and pre-moldable hearing protectors in workers exposed to industrial noise» where the commitment of the academic program with the well-being of the community and with the strengthening of the communication skills of society was evidenced.
