Training and dialogue contribute to professional quality at Cali headquarters

María Cano’s Cali branch carried out the professional practice circle of Clinical Practice, where topics of Physiotherapeutic Intervention in Autism and the Approach to Cystic Fibrosis were addressed. These topics were worked by eighth-semester students in the Physiotherapy program. External guest were also present as speakers: Jennifer Andrea Rodríguez González, Physiotherapist – I.U. National Sports School; Specialist in occupational safety and health management, and extensive experience in Neurodevelopment, Neurorehabilitation, Behavioral and Behavioral Therapy; and Héctor Yesid Jimenez Moreno, Physiotherapist – Universidad del Valle; Pulmonary rehabilitation specialist -Universidad del Rosario, candidate for Master in Biomedical Sciences – Universidad del Valle.
They addressed crucial issues for currently training professionals to provide an excellent service to communities. The professionalization circle is an important space to encourage discussion and development of students’ critical thinking, as well as contributing to nurturing academic development and forming new knowledge for them can apply in their subsequent role as professionals.
