Acknowledgement to best undergraduate and graduate academic averages

María Cano exalted the students who obtained the best undergraduate and postgraduate averages of the Institution during a ceremony chaired by Principal Hugo Alberto Valencia Porras. The students, whose committed work and passion for studying was evidenced to excel at the academic process, received the Scholarship for Academic Excellence and the Honorable Mention for best averages during the first semester 2019.
For obtaining the Scholarship for Academic Excellence, the Academic Regulation document establishes as requirements having enrolled and approved all the curriculum subjects of the respective academic period without taking any make up exams; students who have only enrolled in the practice are exempted. other requirements include: not repeating subjects, to evidence in said academic period an average of not less than four with five (4.5), to have a a favorable concept by the Faculty Council for this recognition, not having any disciplinary sanctions, the average of taken periods being not less than four (4.0).
For the first place, the Superior Council grants a 100% exemption in tuition fees in the first half of 2020; for the second place, a 50% exemption in tuition fees in the first semester of 2020; and for third place, a 30% exemption in tuition fees in the first half of 2020.
Likewise, the Academic Regulation, in Chapter XIII Stimuli Article 69, establishes the Honorable Mention for the Postgraduate student who, having completed the entire academic program in the institution, has obtained the highest cumulative average higher than four with seven by being awarded a 100% exemption in degree fees.
