The Institution welcomes Julia Milena Soto Montoya, who assumes the management of Planning and Quality Area at national level. She is a professional with extensive experience in leading activities of strategic planning and quality assurance in Higher Education Institutions. She has been characterized by her work in the development of institutional accreditation processes and academic programs; her curriculum vitae is aimed on the participation in the development of institutional policies, definition and monitoring of management plans, improvement and maintenance of the basic lines that allow having a clear and defined vision in the organizations. In addition, she has been a professor of planning, quality assurance, project management and Associate Degrees design.

The new Director for Planning and Quality at The Maria Cano is a PhD student in Educational Management and Policy and a Master in Higher Education Teaching. As an Academic Peer of the National Council for Accreditation – CNA (by its acronym in Spanish), she intends to contribute her knowledge and experience in the development of the fulfillment of the mission functions of Higher Education and support the leaders of the Institution, in the different campuses, in the search for the fulfillment of the goals outlined in the 2017 – 2026 Development Plan called «Building the Future».
