On June 1st, the Maria Cano University Foundation and the Secretary of Youth of the Municipality of Medellin signed a collaboration agreement for voluntary action in the context of the health emergency caused by the covid-19 coronavirus, declared by the National Government in Resolution 385 of March 12th, 2020. The Maria Cano, through the hotline Telesalud, especially Telepsychology, joined the Youth Secretariat of the Medellín City Hall to carry out actions aimed at emotional strengthening and promoting the mental health of the city’s youth.

The Secretary of Youth of the City of Medellin, Alejandro Matta Herrera, and the Rector of the Institution, Hugo Alberto Valencia Porras, signed this agreement that will benefit more than 230 young people and will seek to help through tele-attention to mitigate the problems related to mental health in our municipality.

Professors and students of clinical internship, will advance this service of vital importance to improve the conditions of our youth in Medellin.  Our Maria Cano always puts its contribution to support the public actions for the benefit of our population.
