The Popayán campus, with its traditional “Sol y Luna” event, pays tribute to the trajectory of the eighth semester students, who are approaching the end of their professional training, because of their dedication and sense of belonging to the María Cano, just a few days away from finishing their time in the classrooms of the Physiotherapy program. The event allows an interaction between first semester and last level students, where they share their experiences during the whole formative process and give them recommendations that are fundamental to enjoy an adequate and responsible university environment at all times.

From the virtual setting, many nationally recognized celebrities, like the comedian Camilo Cifuentes and the professional soccer player of the Atletico Nacional Club Yerson Candelo, among others, touched the heart of the young people when they sent a message of encouragement and admiration to the health workers and especially to those who are about to start their working life.

Once again, the feelings and commitment to higher education of professionals, come together to make the community feel the importance of training and higher education to contribute to the country at all times, some happy and others challenging, as the current world faces, due to the pandemic.
