ICETEX opens call for victims of armed conflict

Between July 6 and 12, Colombians affected by the armed conflict may register for the call for the Reparation Fund for Access, Permanence and Graduation in Higher Education, which will provide 100% forgivable, that is, non-refundable credits, to people included in the Unique Registry of Victims (RUV) or recognized as such in the processes of Land Restitution, Justice and Peace sentences, or Special Peace Jurisdiction, to access undergraduate studies.
This fund, made up of the Ministry of National Education, the Ministry of Education of Bogotá and the High Council for the Rights of Victims, Peace and Reconciliation, and administered by ICETEX, has benefited nearly 6,300 Colombians since its creation in 2013 , who have developed their higher studies with multiple benefits, such as a maintenance grant and without having to reimburse the money drawn for the payment of their studies after obtaining their graduation and meeting the requirements established by the fund.
People who are selected within the call will be able to access forgivable credit (that is, non-refundable) that will cover the expenses of registration (up to 11 legal monthly minimum wages in force – SMMLV) and maintenance (up to 1.5 SMMLV) every six months. ). Students will be able to access this credit from any academic semester, at the technical, professional, technological or university level from the second semester of 2020.
The forgiveness of this credit will be granted to those who complete their study program and obtain the academic title of the program that was financed for them. The selection to grant the number of credits to be allocated will be made according to the availability of resources by the constituents of the fund.
To register for this call, or access information and services before ICETEX or the constituent entities, no intermediaries are needed. It is important to note that ICETEX services have no cost and are free.
