A new Doctor in the Psychology program

On July 21, 2020, Professor Luis Javier Tobón Restrepo of the Psychology program defended his doctoral thesis «Operationalization of Personal Responsibility and its relationship with Positive Psychological Capital, in university-young adult workers in the city of Medellín «, directed by Dr. José Federmán Muñoz (Ph.D Universidad Iberoamericana de México) before an eminent evaluating tribunal, made up of Dr. Gisela Delfino (Ph.D University of Buenos Aires), Dr. Maria Gloria Fernandez (Ph.D Universidad del Salvador) and Dr. Virginia Kummer. (Ph.D National University of Entre Ríos). With his thesis defense approved, Professor Luis Javier will receive the title of Doctor of Psychology from the Pontificia Universidad Católica Argentina.

The thesis integrates the exploration of a clinical phenomenon of psychology and psychotherapy with an existential focus: Personal responsibility, with theoretical constructs of positive psychology: Positive psychological capital. It is worth remembering that the Santa María de los Buenos Aires University, also known as the Universidad Católica Argentina (UCA), is listed in the international ranking (QS World University Rankings 2020) as the first private university in Argentina and is among the top 10 in Latin America.
