Internationalization at the María Cano University Foundation is a cross-cutting process that energizes and strengthens an institutional culture aimed at incorporating international and intercultural aspects into missionary processes of teaching, research, extension and social protection, favoring the interaction and participation of the academic community in different contexts based on institutional identity reflected in the actions that must be carried out to train people with critical thinking, social commitment and a glocal vision that transform the environments in which we are present.
Within the internationalization strategies, there is the Glocal Chair, through which our academic community has the opportunity to share experiences with professionals from other countries, who nurture the training process from the area of their expertise. Within the framework of this activity and taking into account that the demographic transition currently being experienced makes it clear that competences are acquired in the evaluation and approach of the geriatric patient, on October 22 the conference entitled: «Factors that promote healthy aging «guided by the Mexican Kinesiologist Mauricio Aguilar, who has a master’s degree in Geriatrics from the University of Southampton-England.
The chair had the participation of 136 people, including students from our four campuses, graduates and the external community, who actively participated in this training activity.
