Entrepreneurship and Innovation in Valle del Cauca

The Innovation and Entrepreneurship Bootcamp organized by REUNE Valle was held, an event designed for the winners of the Cali Mayor’s Office Hackathon and for young entrepreneurs who were selected from each of the REUNE member institutions: Universidad de San Buenaventura Cali, Universidad del Valle, Universidad Icesi, Pontificia Universidad Javeriana Cali, Universidad Autónoma de Occidente, Universidad Libre sectional Cali, Universidad Santiago de Cali, Universidad Pontificia Bolivariana de Palmira, Universidad Cooperativa de Colombia, Cali, Lumen Gentium Catholic University Foundation, Minuto de Dios University Corporation , CECEP, Centro Superior Unicuces University Corporation, Autonomous University Corporation of Nariño, Antonio José Camacho University Institution, National Open and Distance University UNAD, María Cano University Foundation, Unicompensar, ITA Buga and Intenalco.
The objective of this initiative was to strengthen the capacities of entrepreneurs in the region and is part of the implementation of the network’s strategic plan, which seeks to improve the capacities of entrepreneurs in the region, hand in hand with their leaders and the Secretariat of Economic Development of the Mayor’s Office of Santiago de Cali. Some of the main axes of the content were the identification of problems with an ODS approach, customer discovery, technological surveillance and competitive intelligence, prototyping, value proposition, sources of income, among others.
From the María Cano University Foundation Cali, we participated in the organization of the event, 15 places were managed for students, teachers, graduates and cooperators of the practice agencies, extending the invitation to the programs of the Faculty of Health of the Neiva branches, Popayán and Medellín with the intention of contributing to the strengthening of our institutional teams. Thanks to the support of the UIE we will have the participation of the teacher Claudia María Gómez Serna from the Business Administration Program of our institution who led the development of the Customer Relations module, Claudia was one of the first entrepreneurship managers trained by the UIE and was selected to represent us for her great knowledge and experience.
People outside the institution or from other programs within the institution were able to follow up on the RUAV Association YouTube channel, where each of the details of the 3 days 29, April 30 and May 1 was broadcast live.

The event managed to convene during the 3 days an average of 107 connected people, including entrepreneurs, teachers and students of the HEIs in the region.
