Coaching with horses to learn in an innovative way

Experiential methodologies are a form of intervention where it is allowed to work on the development of soft skills, that is, those typical of the human being. The experiential work in which it is shared with horses emerges as a different form of work, where a connection is created that allows discovering particular forms of people’s behavior. Bringing this practice to the training of graduates at different levels makes it possible to strengthen the work done in the classroom.
That is why developing an experiential practical exercise in experiential methodologies allows working directly with the behaviors and attitudes of the human being, aiming to improve or discover personal skills. The relationship that is created with the horse invites those who participate to be present in their relationship with the animal, to build trust, discover leadership attitudes, consolidate communication skills, strengthen teamwork, feel tolerance to frustration, among others, which are given thanks to the proposed training program.
The proximity with the horses serves as a point of relationship with the participants, the steed as a social being seeks to relate and in the middle of working with them, teams between human and horse are created in a direct and trusting relationship, thanks to the fact that the activities are always perform foot to ground. In this sense, the proposed activities serve as a mechanism in which the animal is invited to work and at the same time the person can balance their emotions and pause, seeking to think about their way of responding, thereby helping to strengthen their emotional intelligence and along with it personal skills.
In a changing world, which affects everyone equally, finding new ways of working with different training processes allows breaking traditional schemes and getting closer to human behavior, generating a value in which experiences are recorded in the human being, the experiential activities they are never forgotten. The Faculty of Business Sciences has led this proposal, in recent years, in María Cano with excellent results for internal and external audiences, strengthening their leadership capacity, their respect for beings and generating positive attitudes that are evidenced in greater growth personal and professional.
