A dream taking shape
- 3 septiembre, 2025

Ligia González Betancur, Jairo Hernández, and Sergio Serna, representing the General Assembly of Members of the María Cano University Foundation, participated in a tour of the progress on the new infrastructure at the Medellín campus. During the visit, they had the opportunity to witness first-hand, alongside the engineers in charge, the remarkable changes that have taken place in the execution of this project—one of the most important undertakings in the 38-year history of the institution, founded in memory and guided by the principles of María de los Ángeles Cano Márquez.
Following this tour, they expressed deep satisfaction and pride in what they encountered, having seen before their eyes the materialization of a project that began as a dream, then became a necessity, and has now evolved into a solid infrastructure that will be equipped to carry forward the institution’s mission-driven goals.
This visit marks a very important phase in the completion of the two buildings—academic and administrative—which, in the coming months, will be handed over to the university community and the people of Medellín. These new spaces will continue shaping future professionals with a global vision, committed to community engagement, and above all, dedicated to serving Colombian society and the world.
