A great opportunity to experience international culture

The International Relations Office of the María Cano University Foundation always works to broaden the academic horizons of the members of the university community, with opportunities to learn about other cultures and live different experiences that allow enriching daily life. Through its action plan, it seeks alliances and work with different organizations so that students can access these opportunities. In accordance with what was projected in its institutional work, it received Cultural Care, a recognized company with more than 30 years of experience and a track record in exchanges abroad, which announced the opportunities for young students of the Institution in the Medellín, Cali, Neiva, Popayán and Mariacanovirtual, which have an international life project through the possibility of taking care of children, studying and traveling in the United States. An Au pair is a participant who makes a one-year cultural exchange, in this case, to the North American country and meets the following requirements:
- Age between 18-26 years
- Being single and not having children
- Experience with children outside the family; 200 hours. If the experience is with children under 2 years of age, it is better
- Be a bachelor
- Be studying a professional or technical career, go at least in the second semester or be working on something related to your career or technique
- Have a conversational intermediate level of English
- Have a driving license
- Have excellent health
- Comply with the complete vaccination schedule against covid-19
- Have up-to-date documentation of passport and citizenship card
Through this experience, people who apply and pass the selection process, will be able to live with an American host family while developing new personal and professional skills, creating lasting friendships, strengthening cultural knowledge, developing skills and exploring the actions of the USA.
