A job with the Colombian Institute of Family Welfare

This August, the group of twelve professionals from different disciplines began their administrative work, which will accompany the project called «Community IMCI Diploma with Emphasis on Detection of Alerts in Development: Identify to Prevent and Act in Context», a project that is the result of a bidding process with the Colombian Family Welfare Institute – ICBF, in which the María Cano University Foundation participated and was chosen as the winner, with a proposal made between the Faculty of Health Sciences and the Vice-Rector for Extension and Social Projection .
The main objective of the contract is to train, in person, more than 900 educational agents in 8 departments of our Colombia: Guajira, Risaralda, Huila, Antioquia, Chocó, Boyacá, Valle del Cauca and Cauca, always thinking about social welfare of the entire community through institutional actions that are linked to the philosophy of María Cano thanks to the presence in local, regional and national contexts; and its commitment to social projection in the development of teaching, research and extension; and aimed at training people with critical thinking, social commitment and a glocal vision.
The Office of the Vice President for Outreach and Social Projection of María Cano and the Coordination of Strategic Projects seek to ensure that the Institution continues to grow and consolidate itself as a training benchmark that allows promoting and generating conditions to improve the development of cognitive, technical and labor skills of the educational agents for early childhood at the country level.
