- 28 octubre, 2025
As part of its ongoing efforts to strengthen international academic cooperation, the Fundación Universitaria María Cano – Medellín campus welcomes a group of students from the National University of Costa Rica (UNA), enrolled in the Bachelor’s programs in Human Movement and Physical Preparation and Sports Rehabilitation. The visiting students are participating in an academic mobility program alongside the Specialization in Sports Physiotherapy.
During their stay, the students will engage in academic and professional exchange activities focused on the analysis of rehabilitation processes, injury prevention, and high-performance sports training. This initiative seeks to integrate physiotherapeutic, biomechanical, and physical training perspectives, reinforcing the development of highly skilled professionals in the fields of sports and health.
As part of the program’s agenda, participants will visit top-tier sports clubs such as Deportivo Independiente Medellín (DIM) and Atlético Nacional, both renowned for their methodological structure in sports sciences and interdisciplinary work in medical and sports physiotherapy areas. These experiences will allow students to observe first-hand the planning, intervention, and rehabilitation processes of elite athletes.
The Fundación Universitaria María Cano celebrates this collaborative exchange with the National University of Costa Rica, one of Costa Rica’s five public universities, recognized for its humanistic approach, academic diversity, and rigorous educational standards. This international mobility initiative reaffirms both institutions’ commitment to comprehensive education, research, and the internationalization of knowledge in the field of physiotherapy and human movement sciences.
