Academic Excellence: María Cano and Its Impact on Colombian Higher Education

The Fundación Universitaria María Cano, based in Cali, has been recognized for its contribution to the development of higher education in Colombia, as reflected in its recent invitation to participate as a speaker at the 5th International Congress of Academic Bodies of the Universidad Autónoma del Estado de Hidalgo in Mexico, held virtually. Professors Carmen Lorena Murillo Panameño, Leydin Carolina Vásquez Henao, and Nelson Andrés Andrade Bonilla represented the institution, presenting the project «Characteristics of Higher Education Program Design in Colombia: A Perspective from an IES.» This project is a testament to María Cano’s commitment to educational innovation and the continuous improvement of academic quality, which are crucial for the advancement and competitiveness of higher education in the region and the country.
