Between Tuesday, March 28, and Thursday, March 30, 2023, a group of 39 students and 3 professors from the Speech Therapy and Physiotherapy programs of the María Cano University Foundation, Neiva campus, participate in academic mobility to the city of Bogotá, where they have the opportunity to visit different institutions such as the Fundación Centro Integral de Rehabilitación de Colombia CIREC, Mobility Group and the Manuela Beltrán University, spaces that allow strengthening the mechanisms of academic interaction, learning from the experience of other institutions, interacting with peers and learning about professional performance in other regions of the country.

The agenda of this academic mission includes a tour of the facilities of each institution, development of pre-practices, participation in conferences, mirror classes with other students from the headquarters and the exchange of knowledge, which allow the sharing of scientific advances from each professional profile, as well as spaces of cultural integration. This is a work framed in aspects of internationalization, interculturality and projection that represents an outstanding growth in the knowledge of the members of the university community, as well as the generation of spaces to see the advances in the health sciences sector.

The María Cano University Foundation is committed, in its Development Plan and in the comprehensive action plans that are projected for each year, in the proposals of this type of study strategies that facilitate collaborative work with different higher education institutions and with organizations that, in the future, will be the ones that have the accompaniment and contributions of future professionals, so that they become significant experiences for students, teachers and the families of those who have trusted the Institution for the academic training of the new generations.
