The Maria Cano participated in the meeting held by the Education Sector Committee of Fenalco Antioquia with Secretary of Education of Medellin, Dr. Alexandra Agudelo Ruiz. The needs and opportunities for «Educational Transformation» were discussed and defined as one of the basic lines included in its Development Plan. Education is conceived as a macro-strategy for Medellin.

The most outstanding topics, about which experiences, analysis and debates were shared, during the meeting, were: bilingualism, educational infrastructure, educational management, university in school, vocational orientation and other existing programs such as «Ser más STEM» and «Buen Comienzo», where representatives from different higher education institutions were allowed to participate, sharing their knowledge and positions on these aspects.

For this meeting, the Vice-Rector of Extension and Social Projection of The Maria Cano, Carlos Julio Escobar Noreña, was designated by Fenalco Antioquia as the spokesperson for all the Higher Education Institutions belonging to the network.
