Articulated with the sustainable development goals

The Continuing Education Network of Latin America and Europe – RECLA – presents its responsible management report that is the product of the work articulated with the Universities and Institutions of Higher Education that are members of this organization, where all the policies to be developed and the products to be offered are articulated. , in a responsible management, articulated with the 2030 agenda of the United Nations sustainable development goals.
During the last year, 2019, fifteen RECLA partner institutions joined the initiative that seeks to incorporate principles, strategies and indicators to the continuous training proposals that contribute to:
- End poverty in all its forms everywhere.
- End hunger, achieve food security and improved nutrition, and promote sustainable agriculture.
- Guarantee a healthy life and promote well-being for all at all ages.
- Ensure inclusive, equitable and quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all.
- Achieve gender equality and the empowerment of all women and girls
- Guarantee the availability of water and its sustainable management and sanitation for all.
- Ensure access to affordable, safe, sustainable and modern energy for all.
- Promote sustained, inclusive and sustainable economic growth, full and productive employment and decent work for all.
- Build resilient infrastructure, promote inclusive and sustainable industrialization, and foster innovation.
- Reduce inequality within and between countries.
- Make cities and human settlements inclusive, safe, resilient and sustainable.
- Guarantee sustainable consumption and production patterns.
- Adopt urgent measures to combat climate change and its effects (taking note of the agreements concluded in the forum of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change).
- Conserve and sustainably use the oceans, seas and marine resources for sustainable development.
- Protect, restore and promote the sustainable use of terrestrial ecosystems, carry out sustainable management of forests, combat desertification, halt and reverse land degradation and curb the loss of biological diversity.
- Promote peaceful and inclusive societies for sustainable development, facilitate access to justice for all, and create effective, accountable and inclusive institutions at all levels.
- Strengthen the means of implementation and revitalize the global partnership for sustainable development.
Among the 15 IES that have committed to this initiative is the María Cano University Foundation, which is represented by the Vice-Rector of Extension and Social Projection, Carlos Julio Escobar Noreña.
