Cali Campus strengthens its leadership in health research at international events
- 25 septiembre, 2025

From September 15 to 19, the XXVII International Symposium on Health Research was held at Universidad del Valle. During this important academic event, the Cali Campus played a key role both in the organization and in the presentation of high-quality research.
As an active member of the University Network for Health, the Cali Campus was part of the organizing committee, contributing to the success of a symposium that brought together researchers from multiple countries to share significant advances in the health field.
The university’s academic participation stood out through presentations by faculty researchers from the Physiotherapy and Speech Therapy programs. Their work addressed critical topics such as professional training, educational inclusion, community health promotion, and specialized clinical assessment. Additionally, students from the Fisioter and Fisiosports research groups had the opportunity to present their projects, reflecting the institution’s strong commitment to early-stage research training.
The broader university community also engaged as attendees, taking advantage of this valuable opportunity for academic enrichment and continued learning in health research.
Parallel to this event, the 6th Latin American Public Health Meeting took place, focusing on “Artificial Intelligence and Public Health”—a highly relevant theme in today’s global health landscape. This meeting featured national and international speakers who discussed the latest trends, challenges, and applications of AI in public health, including policy development, epidemiological surveillance, and healthcare management. Poster and oral presentations also highlighted how technological innovation plays a pivotal role in transforming modern public health systems.
The active involvement of Cali Campus in these academic spaces reaffirms its commitment to knowledge generation, academic excellence, and the training of highly competent health professionals. The presence of faculty and students at events of this scale contributes to the institution’s growing recognition at both national and international levels.
These events represent valuable opportunities for knowledge exchange, network building, and the identification of emerging trends that will shape the future of health and public health research in the region.
