The Fisioter research hotbed, coordinated by Jorge Eliecer Manrique Julio, professor at the Cali campus, participated in the XIX Departmental Meeting of Research Hotbeds organized by the Colombian Network of Research Hotbeds – RedCOLSI – Valle del Cauca node. The meeting was held at the EAE Corporation and Higher School of Administration and Technological Studies, with the participation of members of María Cano such as students who would present their proposals and teachers from the Cali campus as peer advisors; Carmen Lorena Murillo Panameño, Wilmer Arley Criollo López, José Luis Estela Zape and Nelson Andrés Andrade Bonilla.
Basic, secondary, secondary and undergraduate students from Valle del Cauca were invited to the activity, who would socialize the advances in formative research as a production articulated with the efforts of teachers in favor of the integral social development of the environment.
The group made the presentation of two research proposals, the first was on the Improvement of the Conditions of Intimate Hygiene in Women of the Rural Sector through Education and the Use of a Low Cost Menstrual Cup, carried out by Physiotherapy students Karen Dayana Muñoz Calle and Danna Alejandra Bedoya. The theme of the second proposal was Health Education in First Aid in a Rural Community, created by Katherin Castaño Orrego and Danna Sofía Cuellar Higuita, students of the María Cano campus in Cali.
The projects socialized in this meeting will be evaluated and qualified by different advisory peers and those that manage to obtain a score higher than 90 points according to the Internal Measurement Scale of the RedCOLSI, will have the opportunity to participate in the event that will be held at the national research hotbeds, of which the data of date and place of realization are not yet known.
This activity aims to create a dynamic space in which advances in the different types of research carried out by seedbeds can be socialized and discussed, in order to train, instruct, correct, guide and encourage student members of seedbeds to continue developing, inventing and reinventing different solutions to social problems through research.
