The Physiotherapy Program and the Specialization in Cardiorespiratory Physiotherapy at María Cano successfully held the Master Class on Mechanical Ventilation and Respiratory Care, an academic event that brought together nearly 150 participants, both in-person and virtual, including students, faculty, Physiotherapy alumni, and professionals from related fields in respiratory care.

The event featured the valuable participation of two renowned Latin American experts in the field: Argentine kinesiologists Adrián Gallardo, specialist in Cardiorespiratory Kinesiology and Intensive Care, and Mauro Castro Sayut Sayat, specialist in Intensive Kinesiology, who shared their knowledge and experiences regarding the current challenges of critical respiratory care.

With this initiative, our institution reaffirms its commitment to high-quality education in the cardiovascular and pulmonary fields, aiming to strengthen the competencies of Physiotherapy professionals in intensive care. Likewise, this space contributed to the consolidation of academic and collaborative networks, which will serve as the foundation for the development of future research and international mobility projects, in line with our mission of promoting innovative, relevant education that is connected to global health needs.
