- 26 noviembre, 2025
The María Cano University Foundation welcomed councilors from the National Accreditation Council (CNA) to its Medellín and Cali campuses as part of the verification process for the initial conditions of the Multicampus Institutional Accreditation. This visit marks a key milestone in the institution’s commitment to academic quality, continuous improvement, and the strengthening of its self-evaluation and quality assurance processes.
At the Medellín campus, the institution received Adriana Xiomara Reyes Gamboa and Sandra Juliet Clavijo Zapata. Dr. Reyes Gamboa is a Systems Engineer, PhD in Systems Engineering and Informatics, associated researcher, and former Dean of Engineering at the Politécnico Colombiano Jaime Isaza Cadavid, with extensive experience in t-learning, knowledge management, and quality assurance in higher education. Dr. Clavijo Zapata holds a PhD in Education and has a solid trajectory in pedagogical research, educational assessment, and academic management. She has served as Dean of Education and later as Director of Academic Quality at the Digital University Institution of Antioquia.

At the Cali campus, the institution welcomed Mario Fernando Uribe Orozco, a PhD in Design and Creation, professor and researcher at Universidad Autónoma de Occidente, and specialist in information design, technology-mediated communication, and environmental and digital imagery. With more than 25 years of academic experience, he has held leadership roles in design associations, authored numerous publications, served as an international evaluator, and represents Colombia in prominent international design organizations.
The visit of the CNA councilors strengthened technical and academic dialogue around institutional processes, reaffirming María Cano’s commitment to excellence and the enhancement of educational standards across all its campuses. This important step advances the Multicampus Institutional Accreditation process and reflects the institution’s firm purpose of maintaining high-quality academic formation. Institutional Accreditation… We are moving forward.
