Colombian sign language course in Neiva

At the María Cano University Foundation in the capital of Huila, the level I Colombian sign language course finished, which lasted 40 hours, where the active participation of the participants and the desire to contribute to inclusive communication processes stand out. that generate greater leadership of people with this type of condition. This work responds to the provisions of current national legislation, specifically Law 982 of 2005 and Sentence C 605 of 2012, in which Colombian sign language is recognized as the natural language of the deaf community and as part of the country’s linguistic and cultural heritage.
The Neiva headquarters is already working for the next opening of the group at level II as a commitment to social responsibility and institutional projection, carrying a message of inclusion and respect for all members of society. This training process was carried out taking into account the inclusion policies that are currently governed, learning sign language is essential, since it allows the elimination of communication barriers with the deaf community, achieving assertive and efficient communication, providing real spaces. inclusive and quality
