The Language Center at the María Cano University Foundation in the capital of Huila closed the Diploma for the Strengthening of Bilingualism, in which preschool and primary school teachers from different educational institutions in the city of Neiva, accessed this important training that was carried out thanks to the agreement signed with the city’s Secretary of Education.

It is important to highlight that the main component of the diploma was general pedagogy and the teaching of the English language, in the search to strengthen the previous tools that teachers have and, at the same time, provide strategies that allow rethinking traditional academic training with a new approach, where the student is the center and what interests him is teaching him to learn, thus developing the so-called 21st century skills, such as: creativity and innovation, critical thinking, problem solving, collaboration and teamwork, effective communication , digital literacy, autonomous learning and cultural and global awareness.

The María Cano University Foundation, with the work of the Language Center and the commitment of the human talent of the Institution, is committed, from its training function, to contributing to bilingualism training in this important region of the country, to have more people more prepared for the challenges imposed by globalization and the constant growth of organizations.
