As part of the research results of the project “Design of a prosthesis that adjusts to the conditions of the Colombian agricultural context in order to restore the physical conditions of victims of improvised explosive devices” of call No. 808 called: Science projects , technology and innovation and its contribution to the country’s challenges of the national program of science, technology and innovation in engineering, was published in the journal Annals of Medicine classification Q1, the article titled “Mobility and postural limitations perceived by transtibial amputees undertaking agricultural activities : a qualitative study”, this publication demonstrates the joint work of the researchers Fanny Valencia Legarda, Jesús Alberto Plata Contreras, Elizabeth Rendón Vélez and the students Yesica Ortega Bedoya and Valentina Mejía from the María Cano Educational Institutions, U. de A. and EAFIT .

The article titled “The effect of mastectomy on baropodometric parameters for breast cancer patients,” by researchers Catalina Lopera Muñeton, Fanny Valencia Legarda, and Nelson Iván Cupitra Vergara from the Fisioter group, was published in the Journal of Medicine of the Universidad Pontificia Bolivariana, classification Q4. at the Medellín headquarters and the external researchers Camilo Andrés Páramo Velásquez and David Correa Castaño. This result is linked to the project «Analysis of the effect of external prosthesis and physiotherapy treatment on the quality of life of mastectomized women» and arises from the alliance between researchers from María Cano, SENA and the private company Mascapacidad S.A.S.

Professor Silvia Patricia Betancur Bedoya, a member of the Fisioter group at the Medellín headquarters, has published the article called “Comprehensive rehabilitation of the pelvic floor in a patient with sex reassignment surgery: about a case” in the Colombian journal of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation category D. This manuscript reflects the joint work of physiotherapy with areas related to medical and health sciences and shows the interest in exploring other contexts from comprehensive rehabilitation.
