Social Responsibility in higher education organized by the ORSU Social Responsibility Observatory in the city of Barranquilla, department of Atlántico. In this important space of international projection, the director of the Center for Advanced and Continuous Training and institutional leader of University Social Responsibility of María Cano, Sandra Mónica Ramos Ospina, who presented the paper on Benchmarking in University Social Responsibility on circularization of extension and of the impacts that are generated in the territory from teaching, research and extension. The VIII Regional Forum of the Regional Observatory of Social Responsibility for Latin America and the Caribbean – ORSALC – also took place at the event.

The invitation made to the institution, highlighted the notable and decisive contributions that María Cano has been making in recent years, regarding the real commitments of education in the face of the social challenges of Latin America and the Caribbean; as well as the contributions that are developed through the ORSU – ASCUN – ORSALC table at the national level. For three days, world social and academic leaders addressed the new pedagogical models emanating from the global health crisis, the work carried out in each of the presentations will become the Instrumentum Laboris of the UNESCO WHEC 2022 World Education Conference.

Prior to this important event, María Cano presented her exercise on indicators in Human Management, where the entire institutional team participated through the socialization of good practices and the experience of the collaborator framed in the leadership and mentoring models, recognizing as a transversal axis the foundation of the PAIDEIA model.

The International Forum Center was based on the category of «Rehumanization in a community perspective as a strategic axis of Higher Education built from quality alliances between the various social actors facing the challenges of Latin America and the Caribbean.»

The institution becomes a benchmark for University Social Responsibility from the approach that makes visible the social sense of María de los Ángeles Cano Márquez.
