- 15 noviembre, 2019

Having in mind the extreme importance of our human team’s well-being the Week of Occupational Safety and Health took place at María Cano’s Cali branch, which focused on training and conversations aiming at responding to the institutional commitment of going hand in hand and benefit our employees when it comes to their work’s performance, so that on a daily basis they take care of their physical and mental health. Professor Esther Julia Fernández, in the company of her work practice students and with the support of ARL Sura, developed the “Osteomuscular Risk Prevention” conference where the entire administrative team was trained, discussed and clarified doubts regarding performance according to their roles. ”
According to the Ministry of Labor, Occupational health and safety «…must be implemented by all employers and consists in the development of a logical and phased process, based on continuous improvement, which includes policy, organization, planning, implementation, evaluation, audit and improvement actions with the aim of anticipating, recognizing, evaluating and controlling risks that may affect safety and health in work spaces.
The management system applies to all public and private employers, dependent and independent workers, cooperated workers, mission workers, contractors under civil, commercial or administrative contracts, solidarity economy and the cooperative sector organizations, temporary services companies, associations that sign up independent workers to the Comprehensive Social Security System; labor risk managers; the National Police regarding their non-uniformed personnel and the civilian personnel of the Military Forces. Institutionally and legally it was determined by Decree 1072 of 2015 Book 2, Part 2, Title 4, Chapter 6.”
