From the Coordination of Health and Human Development of Institutional Well-being, thinking about the emotional well-being and the integral formation of the students of the Psychology, Phonoaudiology and Physiotherapy programs of the Medellín campus, who are doing their training practices; a series of trainings in Psychological First Aid – PAPS, is started, guided by professionals from the Ministry of Health of the Mayor’s Office of the capital of Antioquia. María Cano recognizes that, on a daily basis, people are exposed to unexpected situations that may affect the ability to respond in a timely manner, which is why the importance of raising awareness about the issue and preparing to deal with crises or emergency situations is highlighted. through training in intervention tools for crisis resolution, the recovery of emotional balance and the implementation of assertive strategies for coping with the situation.
Institutional Well-being of María Cano in its lines of attention has an organized and programmed work to prevent and care for diseases of the members of the university community, whether physical or emotional, as part of the health care of students, professors, graduates, collaborators, researchers and the community in general, at the Medellín, Cali, Neiva, Popayán and the Mariacanovirtual campus.
