Community practices to care for the community of Cali

In the capital of Valle del Cauca, the First Forum of Comprehensive Health Community Practices was held, initiated by the municipal mayor’s office and the most recognized higher education entities in the city. The María Cano University Foundation had a relevant intervention promoted by the professor of the Physiotherapy program Julián David Cerón Bedoya and the student Rafael Antonio Díaz, with a presentation on the significant experience of interdisciplinary work with the community, focused on the training process of the elderly, which stimulates and promotes the development and professional skills of the Institution’s students.
Through the Ministry of Health, the administration of the city of Cali praised the work done, the effort and the active participation of the university community of María Cano, by putting the knowledge acquired in the classroom for the benefit of the community, which represents coherence of the educational process in the academic program with university social responsibility.
