The great hall of the Plaza Mayor Medellín Convention Center was the setting for two public degree ceremonies of the María Cano University Foundation in the capital of Antioquia. The first act took place at 11:00 a.m. for the Faculty of Health Sciences, with the programs of Physiotherapy, Speech Therapy, Psychology, Specialization in Comprehensive Care for Early Childhood, Specialization in Audiology and Specialization in Occupational Health Management; with a total of 156 graduates who swore to God and promised to the Homeland, before the families and friends present, to abide by and comply with the Constitution and the laws of the Republic, uphold their independence and freedom, practice their profession in accordance with the norms of professional morality and work for the progress of the María Cano University Foundation.

At 4:00 in the afternoon, the 150 graduates of the Business Administration, Public Accounting, Software Engineering, Senior Management Specialization, Relationship Marketing Management Specialization, Project Management and Evaluation Specialization programs, Specialization in Human Talent Management and Specialization in Tax Management; expressed their gratitude for the continuous institutional growth with the expansion of the academic offer in undergraduate and postgraduate courses, high-quality accreditations, the path of excellence and constant self-assessment, as well as the evident growth in the physical infrastructure that will impact not only Medellín and Neiva, but to all the locations in the country.

For his part, the rector, Hugo Alberto Valencia Porras, who presided over the ceremonies, stressed that: «today, which is one of the happiest days of your life, I want to invite you to never forget the duty you assume to exercise your profession with , with respect for others and, above all, with deep humility.A professional is getting bigger, when he understands that his main commitment is with others and that he must put his knowledge at the service of those around him.

In this graduation ceremony we all win: You win because your effort, dedication, studies, late nights, early mornings and dreams traced, reach the goal through this graduation ceremony that is the first step of what will be a full life full of successes and joys.

Their families win, because I am sure that the road has not been easy. I have a family and I can say with full knowledge of the facts that, for parents, siblings, partners and husbands, the process of accompanying those who have made the decision to study, to get ahead, to be successful, a path full of challenges, understanding and deep love.

Society wins because it receives qualified and suitable professionals to contribute in the different fields in which you are going to work from this moment on. Also, because you are prepared to perform with passion and deep respect for the profession.
