And what is an Inclusion Policy? It is when our actions respond fully to the mission, vision and above all to the principles of respect, equity, excellence, leadership, transparency and responsibility. It is to commit to the integral development of the communities, the recognition of the individual as a student, professional and teaching and administrative collaborator with an open look to social reality. The María Cano University Foundation, in its inclusion policy, in accordance with the provisions of Decree 1330 of 2019, will establish the mechanisms required for the articulation and development of training, academic, teaching, scientific, cultural and extension work, under principles of equity, diversity, inclusion and sustainability. It makes available the resources of its budget to link human, didactic, pedagogical, physical infrastructure and appropriate technological resources that allow accessibility conditions of the academic community to educational inclusion.
The institution, in compliance with this policy, recognizes inclusive education and undertakes to promote and safeguard the principles and values on which the institutional project is based, the integral development of the communities, the recognition of the individual as a student, professional and teaching collaborator. and administrative with an open look to social reality. For which, it will constantly design strategies and generate opportunities articulated with the concepts of accessibility and reasonableness in accordance with institutional conditions and limitations, so that in a progressively sustainable manner and with reasonable adjustments in the teaching, research, extension, and administrative management allow understanding and respect for diversity, interculturality and equity.
